The only miniature edition of one of the most popular and widely read 18th-century novels among Victorians. This miniature edition was bound by more than one binder for the publisher. This is variant B: lettered "THE VICAR OF WAKEFIELD" in upper case only, in gilt horizontally across the spine with the same titling in the centre of the the front board (not near the top). The word "Oxford" in capitals horizontally does not appear at the foot of the spine.
